As the art of veterinary dentistry advances, MacDonald Vets are not only able to professionally treat your pet's dental problems, but our fully trained nurses are dedicated to helping you prevent problems from occuring in the first place. Take advantage of our free dental nursing clinics.

In consult advice: with the right advice, you can play a vital part in your pet's dental health. It's never too late to start. So, whatever your pet's age, our nurses can talk you through brushing & diets step by step.

In consult treatment: if your pet would benefit from having a small amount of plaque removed from the teeth, we may be able to manually descale the teeth without the use of sedatives & anaesthetics during a series of nurse clinic slots.

Dental operations: in the event that your visit to our dental clinic highlights the need for a dental operation, our facilities allow us to provide a high standard of treatment. Dental problems can sometimes reflect underlying subclinical disease. Kidney dysfunction, for example, causes an increase in circulating body waste & will accelerate bacterial growth in the mouth. For this reason, it is recommended that preanaesthetic blood testing is performed before dental work is undertaken under general anaesthesia.
