MacDonald Vets offers a busy two - centre first opinion companion animal veterinary service with extensive surgical & in-house diagnostic facilities. We require an additional veterinary surgeon to join our current friendly team of three.

The Practice was established in 1990 by our Principal, Barry MacDonald, in the leafy town of Cheltenham in close proximity to the beautiful Cotswold Hills.

Practice staff rotate between two clinics, both of which have recently undergone extensive refurbishment to a high standard.

Fully trained veterinary nurses offer a portfolio of clinics to compliment the proactive & preventative medicine strategy adopted by our veterinary team.

The Practice is fully computerised & uses the Jupiter Enterprise practice management system.

Orthopaedic, ophthalmic & general soft-tissue surgery are performed routinely in-house. The workload is very varied & at times can be heavy, suiting individuals with a natural talent for medicine, good communication skills & with a strong surgical bias.

MacDonald Vets is a VNAC training centre & encourages CPD of veterinary & nursing staff.

The surgeries are open weekdays & Saturday mornings. Duties are equally shared amongst the full time veterinary team. Out-of-hours emergencies are seen by Chelvets, a locally based dedicated veterinary emergency service.
