prescriptions can be obtained from MacDonald Vets, allowing you to purchase your pet’s medication from another veterinary surgery or pharmacy.

It is important to consider that a prescription may not be appropriate where immediate treatment is necessary.

You can be informed, on request, of the price of medication we wish to prescribe to your pet.

We have a duty of care to ensure your pet is responding well to treatment, therefore animals requiring repeat prescriptions need to be reassessed every 6 months. This is normally achieved with a routine examination booking at one of the surgeries.

Most importantly - MacDonald Vets is proud of it's ability to provide comprehensive and invaluable advice when prescribing medication, advice that you may not receive when collecting prescriptions elsewhere.
