policy on wild animals & birds

Wild animals & birds are treated free of charge at MacDonald Vets.  Sick & injured animals are treated & hospitalised until recovered or clinically stable.

In cases of orphaned animals or patients requiring longer term rehabilitation during recovery, animals are transferred into the care of local wildlife rescue centres. These voluntary & very dedicated teams provide expertise & painstaking effort in nurturing young infants & convalescing sick or injured wild animals back to health.
