...............................new Legislation allows you to obtain your pet’s prescription-only-medicines, category V (POM-V) from MacDonald Veterinary Clinics.

prescriptions can be obtained at no additional charge, allowing you to purchase your pet’s medication from another veterinary surgery or pharmacy.

It is important to consider that a prescription may not be appropriate where immediate treatment is necessary.

You can be informed, on request, of the price of medication we wish to prescribe to your pet.

We have a duty of care to ensure your pet is responding well to treatment, therefore animals requiring repeat prescriptions need to be reassessed every 6 months at a charge of £ 16.95

Most importantly - MacDonald Veterinary Clinics are proud of our ability to provide comprehensive and invaluable advice when prescribing medication, advice that you may not receive when collecting prescriptions elsewhere.
