Policy on wild animals & birds

Wild animals & birds are treated free of charge at MacDonald Veterinary Clinic, when presented at either the Prestbury or Leckhampton surgeries. Sick & injured animals are treated & hospitalised until stable.

In cases of orphaned animals or patients requiring longer term rehabilitation during recovery, animals are transferred into the care of Gloucestershire Wildlife Rescue. This voluntary & very dedicated team provide expertise & painstaking effort in nurturing young infants & convalescing sick or injured wild animals back to health.
